Es erwartet uns eine explosive Komposition aus karibischen Rumfässern und einem heavily-peated Smokehead. "Not for everyone" – ein Statement, zu dem Smokehead zu 100% steht. Ganz im Sinne der Marken-DNA feiert Smokehead nun das erste Batch des streng limitierten Rum Rebel. Ein typischer Islay Single Malt mit Rum Cask Finish. Der reichhaltige, torfige, salzige Smokehead trifft auf würzige, süße karibische Rumfässer und erzeugt so eine echte Geschmacksexplosion.

FIRST IMPRESSION
Fiery peat kicks things off, naturally. But then
comes a sweetness – burnt marshmallows,
charred pineapple, banana and… bacon?
We warned you this was carnage.
THE FULL-ON FLAVOUR
You’re in the thick of it now. A briny, oily,
intense smoke hits hard but medics are on the
scene quickly with a spoonful of honey and
lemon.
THE FINALE
And when the dust settles, the smoky dying
embers of toasted oak is all that remains.
Along with just a hint of a fruity aftermath.

 

Fans of rum are in for a shocking surprise with the new Rum Rebel Smokito. The warm dried spices and fruity sweetness come thundering through with Smokehead’s signature extremes of peat and punch. A confounding twist on their favourite drink that’s unlike anything they dared to try before.

Ingredients

  • 50ml Smokehead Rum Rebel
  • 25ml lime juice mixed with 25ml water
  • 2 teaspoons sugar 
  • Fresh mint
  • Few flakes smoked Maldon sea salt 

Method

Add mint and sugar to the glass and stir for 2 minutes. Add the lime and water and stir for a further minute until all the sugar has dissolved. Add ice and pour the Smokehead into your highball glass. Sprinkle with a few flakes of smoked Maldon sea salt and enjoy!
